Online Coaching

Nick Mackowski
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association
Master of Science in Kinesiology & Applied Physiology (Dec 2017)
Functional Movement Screen Level 1

Coaching everyone from childhood cancer survivors, military cadets, Divison I athletes, mothers who work 9-5 among others for 5 years while also being involved in research, strength & conditioning, and physical therapy settings.

I want to combine my roles which included research, performance analysis, and coaching to help you improve your health and get more fit.

What can be expected?

Online coaching will be a 6+ week  journey to help you reach your goals and will include:

Performance Assessment – Detailed survey analysis that will discover where improvements should be made with regards to physical, nutritional, recovery, and mental performance

Community Coaching – This is one of the most important aspects. This community will be there to celebrate your milestones and be there when you fall off track.

“Human beings need three basic things in order to be content: they need to feel competent at what they do; they need to feel authentic in their lives; and they need to feel connected to others. These values are considered ‘intrinsic’ to human happiness and far outweigh ‘extrinsic’ values such as beauty, money and status.” ― Sebastian Junger, Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging

Health & Fitness Programming – You’ll get a fitness program that’s personalized to you based on your needs and goals

Nutrition Objectives – You’ll have nutrition objectives to complete to help you get to your goal

Nutrition Check-in – This is a weekly personal check-in through e-mail that will help us address any obstacles or barriers more specifically

Coaching Call – 10-25 minute video chat or call where we can chat about any concerns, obstacles, uncertainties you may have, or just to check-in on how you’re doing

Video Feedback – You will record and send your exercise technique for examination. We’ll provide thorough feedback to ensure that you’re performing the movement optimally.

Online vs. In-Person Coaching

A Note on Quality Coaching:
The health and fitness industry is unregulated with a low barrier for entry which means that you, assuming you graduated high school, can become a certified personal trainer or nutritionist (not Registered Dietician!) by studying and taking an exam. This is great for individuals who have a passion for this field, study, and are able to decipher the fads from facts. However, this also generates a lot of low-quality coaches who only rely on their personal experience when coaching others. The Office Athlete Academy was created based on quality and integrity. You can rest assured that we have done our research, will help get you results, and avoid dogmatic ideologies as only siths deals in absolutes.

Overall, it’s going to be a balance of affordability and what’s best for you. It’s best for some individuals to meet a trainer face-to-face if they have movement restrictions that prevent proper exercise/movement technique. However, this may be unaffordable for many especially if you want a quality coach.

To provide quality coaching, I do limit the number of potential enrollees. Please sign-up or contact me ( if interested or if you have any questions before slots fill up.
